We look forward to returning either to try breakfast, lunch or dinner, but especially for cake and coffee.C&L is a perfect place for ancient homemade torte, handmade pralines, chocolate and coffee house atmosphere. It is more suitable for older people. Cron & Lanz is a wonderful childhood memory and I how to visit with my children one day. Cake was tasty, and I didn't find the portion small as other reviewers seem to have found. Have been coming here for 20 years ever since I was a baby, and still loving the cakes (Sarah Bernhardt Torte fan for ever) and the atmosphere every time I visit! Not all cakes displayed on the menu are available (which happens when things are prepared freshly, of course), still variety is quite good. Service was efficient and formal, but not rude.

I did not like their coffee particularly.In a small town like Göttingen, this is a good place to sit and enjoy the coffee and cake. Since fresh raspberries were in season it was not a hard choice and came down to the Himbeeren Torte. Outrageous. The service is very efficient and friendly.
