There are a lot of off trails that people have made, so be sure to stay on your correct path. Great to see people enjoying the lake in winter. Long trail! The course runs more technical on the west side trails (west from MADD Shelter). Great trail with a lot of variety.
There are several trailheads for this route, including at: Rockledge Park, Murrell Park, MADD Shelter, and Twin Coves Park. You can amble up a river, admire cascades, cross the river and return to your car in a half-mile [Cascade River], hike the 326-mile Superior Hiking Trail [S.H.T.] I started at Murrell Park and hiked north. Another good view of Bluefish Cove is shortly thereafter to your right. Other than that, I highly recommend it.come here often.
